What did you want to be when you grew up?
I must admit it was to be a Chartered Accountant!

First full time job
I started my working career as a Trainee in a Sydney based Chartered Accounting firm where I was involved in Tax, Audit and Business Services for Small Medium Enterprises. I did my studies at UNSW on a part-time (evening) basis. Before graduating at UNSW, I decided to specialize in Corporate Tax and made a move to one of the Big 4 firms.

Current job description
Part of the in-house Group Tax team at Deutsche Bank, covering a number of jurisdictions in Asia. The role involves dealing with anything relating to the Bank's tax affairs, including review and advisory in respect of deals, products & structures, overseeing tax compliance processes and liaising with local staff and external advisors on the ground in each country.

Best part of the job
Banking and Financial Services has got to be one of the most exciting and demanding industries to work in. Everyday is a different one from the last, so it keeps things interesting!

Strangest thing you have had to do
As part of a recent Offsite in Germany, we went for a visit down an active coal mine. We were equipped with all the clothing and gear that the 'real' miners had to wear! We traveled a few kilometers underground in a dark lift shaft before trekking further down deeper into the mine to see fresh coal being shaved from the wall. It was definitely something to remember, as I would never have expected to spend over 3 hours that far underground with colleagues!

Career ethic
From each mistake made, there is a lesson to be learned. As long as you don't keep making the same mistake, then you are ahead! (I hope)

Where will you be in 10- 15 years?
I'd love to be retired and traveling the world. But, I'm not sure if I can retire in the next 10-15 years!

Jobs you most covet
I've been watching a lot of TV lately and one series that I have been hooked onto is one called 'Las Vegas'. I wouldn't mind taking on the role of Security and Surveillance, if it really existed!
